What does the Finedon Conservation Area mean for my project?
The Finedon Conservation Area is one of North Northamptonshire Council’s designated areas, protected for its special architectural or historic interest. Inside it, external work is judged against the area’s character, and because a conservation area is article 2(3) land, some permitted development rights — including certain roof additions — are removed, so work that needs no application elsewhere can need full permission here.
